Description
A broad-crowned tree with large branches persisting low on the trunk. Height ca. 50 ft. Circumference of trunk 10 ft. 8 inches (diameter ca. 3 ft. 4 inches) at 4 ft. above ground. Bark deeply furrowed, dark grayish brown. Needles in 3s (young tree nearby with needles in 4s; another seen with needles in 2s). Cones mostly 3.5-4.5 inches long. Estimated age, 125 years. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
