Ungrazed floodplain forest with grassy openings, Acer
saccharinum, A. negundo, Gleditsia triacanthos, Ulmus
americana, U. rubra, Celtis occidentalis, Juglans nigra.;
with Eragrostis hypnoides, Mimulus ringens, Phalaris
arundinacea, Cryptotaenia canadensis, Leersia virginica,
Elymus virginicus.
Scattered, in dense stand of Eragrostis hypnoides on
unshaded edge of mud bar. Corolla with light violet tube,
nearly white limb.
