Wilderness Area ca. 15 air mi. SW of
Anaconda, vicinity of Mt. Tiny. Elev. 9500
ft., open alpine grassy, S-facing, 15%
slope.
20% moss and 40% other vegetative cover,
10% rock. The dominants: Carex pseudo-
scirpoidea, Dryas octopetala, Poa alpma.
Polygonum bistortoides, also with Cas-
tilleja pulchella, Gentiana algida,
Oxytropis campestris, Poa arctica, P.
glauca, Festuca ovina.
Bracts range from a dull pinkish to
cream; galea yellow-green; lower lip
green.
