In organic soil on E-facing igneous ledges with Ribes, Abies. Picea,
Pseudocymopterus & grasses. Herbaceous perennials from closely
branching caudices; leaves both basal & cauline, linear-acicular,
obscurely mucronate, to 11 cm long; stems glabrous proximally,
glandular dlstally; sepals narrowly acute, to 7.5 mm long; petals
white, to 10 mm long, oblong, rounded to slightly emarginate
apically; anthers rose-colored; styles 3.
