Arizona, Cochise Co.; San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area
Upper San Pedro River Floodplain, near Charleston guage, approx 2 miles north of
Charleston road.
N 31° 38.436', W 110° 10.671’; 3751 ft., 1144 m.
Habitat: Narrow part of San Pedro floodplain where rocky outcrops meet riparian
zone, growing in rocks.
Associated spp: Sageretia wrightii, Celtis reticulata, Rhus microphylla, Opuntia sp,
Juglans, Galium microphyllum, Bouteloua curtipendula, Dasylirion wheeleri, Trixis
californica, Prosopis velutina, Rivina humilis, Acourtia wrightii, Agave palmeri.
Notes: Infrequent perennial, seen locally only. Flowers cream, fruits green, angled
slightly upward. Voucher specimen for botanical inventory of San Pedro Riparian
National Conservation Area.
