Unable to find precise location of "Fazenda Itapua;" georeferenced to the geographic center of the Rio Branco-Xapuri road in Acre, Brazil (in accordance with other locality descriptions). The major road which serves to connect the cities is BR-317, but this road does not connect with the geographic center of city of Rio Branco. Located the most direct path between the two cities, starting at the beginning of road AC-040 (nearby the geographic center of Rio Branco), which connects with road BR-317, then meets road AC-403 which runs through the geographic center of Xapuri. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located this route. Beginning at the start of road AC-040 in Rio Branco, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line to the end of the route, at AC-403 at the geographic center of Xapuri; halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of this route. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from selected coordinates to the farthest extent of this route, 53713.0 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
