Perennial herb with arching stems to 2 feet high. Stems quadrangular and rooting at nodes. Uppermost leaves and stems flushed with red. Hypanthium pinkish-green, conspicuously tuberculate. Calyx lobes pink. Corolla, filaments, and style purplish-pink. Upper anthers yellow, lower anthers purple. coll, Marc S. Frank # 822 12 January 2007 in the horticultural trade this plant is routinely misidentified as Centradenia arandifolia or Centradenia floribunda.
