In sandy soil on gentle E-facing slope with Ericameria. Atriplex &
Tetradvmia. Taprooted annuals; phyllaries with delicate, +
appressed hairs; inner phyllaries with acute-acuminate,
membranous tips; ray florets pistillate, with bright yellow ligules to
8 mm long; pappus of numerous, unequal capillary bristles, to 4
mm long on disc florets; cypselae villous-sericeous.
