R12W, Sec. 17. Lat.: 35°26'15"N Long.: 108°07'32"W (WGS84
Datum). Elev. 7450 ft.
In shaly limestone on SW-facing slope with Pinus, Stenotus &
Hvmenopappus. Caespitose perennials from closely branched
caudices; trichome rays appressed, fused <1/2 their length; petals to
6 mm long & 3 mm wide, the blade yellow with a faint orange spot
at junction with claw; anthers > 0.9 mm long; styles to 2.5 mm long;
fruiting stalks barely exceeding leaves; ovaries glabrous.
