Habitat
Disturbed roadside in area of bedded sandstones, highly deformed and forming steep slopes with cliff-like outcrops. Weedy road edge with Avena barbata, Brassica geniculata, Marrubium vulgare, Centaurea melitensis, etc. Soils at collection site weathering to sandy loam.

Description
Rhizomatous perennial herb forming local patches at edge of road and growing up through the asphalt, flowers pinkish purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
