This species is described as an apparent hybrid between A.
mollis or A. amplexicaulis and A. cordifolia or A. latifolia. I
collected neither A. mollis nor A. amplexicaulis, but the presence
of A. diversifolia suggests that one or both of them are present
also. Voucher: Whitehead, G.S. 1983. M.S., Idaho State U.
Associated with Abies lasiocarpa, Vaccinium scoparium, V.
globulare, and Lonicera utahensis.
