remnants of burned post oak woodland on gently sloping
ridgetop underlain by Pennsylvanian sandstone, ca. 3.7-3.8
airmiles W to WSW of jet. St. Rt. 16 and R. M. 2372 in
Strawn, at N32°31.249\ W098°33.225\ Palo Pinto
Mountains State Park. Elev. 1270 -1280 ft.
Associates included Acalypha monococca, Aristida longespica, Cenchrus
spinifex, Chamaesyce sp., Chloris cuculiata, Croton gjiandulosus, C.
lin<jhpimerianus] Cyperus 31963 and 31971, Digitaria cognata, Diodia teres,
Eragrostis 31970, E. curtipedicellata, E. secundiflora, Froelichia sp.,
Hypericum drummondii, Lechea san-sabeana, Mollugo verticillata, Plantago
hookeriana, Polypremum procumbens, Portulaca pilosa, Prionopsis ciliata,
Quercus stellata, Schizachyrium scoparium, Selaginella arenicola, Triplasis
