Grindelia grandiflora Hook.
TX: Sutton Co. In Sonora, along E 2nd St.,
near Intersection with Marigold St., just
past turnoff for Hudspeth Memorial Hospital.
Common in sandy loam along small drainage
area at edges of 2nd St. 1.8-5.0 ft tall.
Most with a single stem that branches about
the middle, with rather long "willowy"
branches. Apparently annuals. Most in full
flower.
This is the same population as that collected
on 07 Aug 1980 as Wetter 687 [immature].
