vegetation on formerly heavily grazed valley flat, on
otherwise rolling landscape underlain by tuffaceous
sandstone and conglomerate of the Tascotal Formation, S
side of Matonoso Creek valley ca. 3.1 airmiles NNW of St.
Rt. 169 bridge over Alamito Creek just N of Plata, at
N29°55.442\ W104°02.070\ Kennedy Ranch (Dixon Water
Foundation). Plata NE Quadrangle. Elev. 3920-3930 ft.
Associates included Acacia constricta, Amaranthus palmeri, Aristida
temipes, Berlandiera sp., Boerhavia sp., Bouteloua aristidoides, B.
barbata, B. curtipendula, Buddleja marrubiifolia, Chloris virgata,
Cucurbita foetidissima, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Gutierrezia sp.,
Machaeranthera pinnatifxda, Prosopis glandulosa, Salsola iberica,
