BASTROP CO.: occasional in burned-over loblolly pine —
post oak forest on rather mesic gentle slope underlain by
Eocene sands of the Reklaw Formation but probably
mantled with Pleistocene terrace deposits, on sandy soils
mapped as Axtell-Tabor complex, ca. 0.4 airmiles E of
Harmon Road from a point ca. 0.6 roadmiles N of jet. St. Rt.
71, at N30°05.916\ W097o14.701\ Bastrop State Park.
Smithville Quadrangle. Elev. 500-510 ft. Area burned
during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011.
Associates included various Dichanthelium and Cyperus spp., Centrosema
virginianum, Juncus marginatus, Lipocarpha drummondii, Phytolacca
americana, Polypremum procumbens, Rubus sp., seedlings of Populus
deltoides.
