In rocky (igneous) soil on N-facing slope with Artemisia. Ribes.
Cercocarpus & Quercus nearby. Perennials to 35 cm tall; basal
leaves to 8 mm wide, entire or rarely dentate, with minute dendritic
hairs; leaves of vegetative shoots narrower, pannose, with a few
petiolar cilia; petals pale lavender, to 7 mm long; pollen somewhat
irregular, the functional grains narrowly ellipsoid; fruiting pedicels
ascending, with scattered dendritic hairs; seeds uniseriate.
