Penneys, 25 Aug. 2005 Prov. Cartago: Along road 4km from entrance to Parque Nacional Tapanti. Elev. 1230m. Large hemiepiphytic shrub, branches to 6m. Hypanthium and calyx green; petals white, slightly pink-tinged on abaxial surface that was exposed in bud; filaments white, caudate anther appendages yellow, thecae pink; style somewhat sigmoid, cream; distal portion of hypanthium and calyx becoming yellow-orange in fruit. Flowers faintly fragrant at 1000h. Uncommon. Lat. 09 46.07N Long. 83 47.68W Datum: WGS 84. coll. Darin S.
