Habitat
Rain forest, changing to disturbed areas with scattered trees and woodland. This plant growing as an understory tree at summit of mountain. Dominated by Pteridium, at higher altitudes.

Description
Spindly shrub to 2m.; young stems gren with red hairs; leaves mid-green, bullate, paler beneath. inflorescence axis pedicels and calyx covered in red hairs. Petals thin and evanescent, pale whitish pink. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
