Georeferenced to 26.5 km (average of two distances given) along the road which connects the neighborhood of Pontal (within the political boarders of the city of Ilhéus) to the city of Buerarema (BR-251), Mun. Ilhéus, Bahia. Used Google Maps - Search Engine and Satellite View, to locate the BR-251. Beginning at the approximate geographic center of the neighborhood of Pontal (14.8123194, -39.0346465), used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure approximately 26.5 km (26500.1 m) along BR-251 towards the city of Buerarema. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the offset (along with the geographic center of the neighborhood of Pontal provided above). Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find the linear extent of the starting location of the offset, the neighborhood of Pontal, by measuring the distance from the approximate geographic center of the neighborhood of Pontal (14.8123194, -39.0346465) to the most distant edge of the neighborhood of Pontal as it is defined in Google Maps. Input coordinates, linear extent (1313.38 m), measurement error (0.001 m), and distance precision (100 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Offset: Offset along a path).
