Plants of South Carolina, U.S.A. Kershaw County Polygonum pensylvanicum L. Polygonaceae Pennsylvania Smartweed Sprawling plant with fleshy red stems; flowers pink and going to seed. Growing in full sun on wet, unmown ditchbank with Solidago sp,, Andropogon sp., and others at Cooper Family Farms 10 miles east of Camden and 2 miles north of I-20.
