    Perennials from stout, ± tuberous taproots, herbage puberulent; involucre absent; rays of inflorescence spreading; bractlets of involucel glabrous, green with pale margins; petals whitish with a green midvein; anthers rose-purple; pollen averaging 39 microns long; ovaries glabrous. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
