Habitat
In crevices of north- and east-facing rocks and cliffs. Common.

Description
Cushion to 3 dm. wide and 1 dm. high, the interstices packed solid with soil; juice milky. Heads 14-21 mm. diameter, light to deep pink, rarely white, 5-8 flowered. Ligules 7-10 mm. long, 3-4.5 mm. wide, oblong-elliptic, truncate. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
