Flora of California, U.S.A. 7- df 2 Crassulaceae: Sedum flavidum (Denton) Zika TRINITY COUNTY: junction of road 29N85 and 29N33, 2.1 miles by road from the Wild Mad Road (Highway 30), about one air mile north of Hackney Spring; UTM zone 10, 491454 east, 4465595 north, +/- 16 feet (NAD 83). Elevation 4515 feet Petals ascending, yellow with red midribs. Anthers yellow. Leaves and stems usually bright red. Pollinated by large, blue-black flies. Strong serpentine rocks and gravels on gradual slope, on ridge top, under a Pinus sabiniana. Aspect mostly southeast. Associated species: Harmonia stebbinsii, Allium hoffmanii, Minuartia californica, Streptanthus drepanoides, Epilobium, dwarfed Festuca roemeri. Barbara L.
