the E side of Rose Lake; S33 T49N RI W; eie. 653 m. Fen habitats ranging from
rich to poor. Rich fens dominated by Potentilla palustris, Sparganium
eurycarpum, Sagittaria latifolia, Eleocharis palustris, Glyceria borealis,
Carex utriculata, C. vesicaria, Typha latifolia. Sphagnum teres. Poor fen
dominated by Sphagnum centrale, S. angustifolium, Carex lasiocarpa, C.
limosa, Spiraea douglasii. Shallow lake littoral zones dominated by Nuphar
polysepalum and Brasenia schreberi-, deep littoral zones by Potamogeton
amplifolius, P. zosteriformis, P. praelongus, Myriophyllum sibericum, Elodea
canadensis. Abundance: prominent on disturbed peat over beaver lodge.
