    Forest on relatively level terrain behind levee, flooded supra-annually. Canopy discontinuous in places, understory with high density of Heliconia and Marantaceae. Restinga. Rare. Sand.

    Tree. Tree 25 meters by 35 cm, outer bark brown, fine-scaly, very thin, inner bark pale orange-beige, brittle, thick. Inflorescences erect, calyx pale green, inflated, petals white, stamens white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
