Occurrence in 1953 as known from preserved specimens (#) in dao, can, and acadia herbaria, and from sight records by D. Erskine or reliable reports (O). PLANTS OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, CANADA Senecio sylvaticus L. Road junction 3. 5 miles northeast of Tignish, Prince County. Dry cleared spruce woods, in sunny needle litter. Plants wilting rapidly; stems softly viscid; rays yellow, short, recurved. Tiny, simple plants 3 cm. tall from shade. No. 2182 Coll. D. Erskine July 28, 1953 A.
