CAMERON CO.: stems branched at base, forming mat;
occasional in weedy herbaceous vegetation along margin of
strip of hackberry-palm woodland between ag field road and
old resaca bottom, on soils originally mapped as deep, well
drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline silt loam Typic
Ustifluvents (Rio Grande series), on +/- flat agricultural
landscape on delta of the Rio Grande, ca. 300 ft. S of
warehouse at Southmost Preserve, ca. 1.1 airmiles SE of jet.
F. M. 1419 (Southmost Road) and F. M. 3068 (Indiana
Ave.), at N25°51’14.5”, W097°23’54.0”. Southmost
Quadrangle. Elev. 20-25 ft.
Associates included Calyptocarpus vialis, Clematis drummondii, Cynodon
dactylon, Gaura parviflora, Helianthus annuus, Heliotropium
angiospermum, Merremia dissecta, Physalis sp., Ratibida columnifera,
Ruellia runyonii, Sida spinosa, Urochloa maxima.
