Valença, Bahia. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located BA-542. Beginning at the point along BA-542 closest to the approximate geographic center of the city of Valença (-13.372228 -39.0748689), used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line to the center of the intersection between BA-542 and BR-101 (-13.2841208 -39.3216911), then halved that distance to approximate the location of the geographic midpoint (-13.3280401 -39.1982451). Using Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs, found coordinates for the point along BA-542 closest to this midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates along BA-542 to the farthest extent of this section of BA-542, 14452.1 m), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, stream, road, path).
