Boulder Mtns. ca. 6.74 km NNE of the summit (10225) of
Bromaghin Peak. T7N, R15E, Sec. 32. Lat.: 43°53'26,,N Long.:
114°42,51"W (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 9375 ft.
In rocky volcanic soil on gentle N-facing slope with Ericameria.
Pinus & grasses. Plants perennial from branched caudices,
forming loose mats; leaves to 5 mm wide, not rigid, minutely
glandular & sparsely floccose; phyllaries thin, green with narrow
scarious margins, usually <2 mm wide; ray florets pistillate, the
ligules yellow; all florets with pappus of unequal capillary bristles.
