Lat.: 37°53'39"N Long.: 112°43'36”W (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 6800 ft. In rocky (marly limestone) clay on S-facing slope with Quercus. r.pmocarpus, Pinus & Juniperus. Caespitose perennials; leaves mostly basal, with a small, mucronate tip, minutely tuberculate but otherwise glabrous, + shiny-resinous; flowering stems & involucres resinous, glabrous; phyllaries obtuse, green only at the thickened tip, the midvein obscure; ray florets pistillate, the ligules yellow.
