In rocky limestone soil on SW-facing slope with Artemisia.
Chrvsothamnus & Lupinus. Caespitose perennials; leaves mostly
basal, with a pungent, mucronate tip, minutely glandular-scabrous,
not shiny-resinous; stems & involucres somewhat glandular;
phyllaries acute, uniform in thickness, green except for the
margins, the midvein not prominent; ligules of ray florets yellow.
