In marly limestone soil on gentle S-facing slope with Artemisia.
Svmphoricarpos & Phlox. Caespitose perennials; leaves mostly
basal, with a pungent, mucronate tip, minutely glandular-scabrous,
not shiny-resinous; flowering stems & involucres glandular;
phyllaries acute, uniform in thickness, green except for the
margins, the midvein not prominent; ligules of ray florets yellow.
