Used the reference material and Google Maps – Earth and Terrain Views to locate the mountainous area of Agulhas Negras. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the mountainous area of Agulhas Negras (-22.384444, -44.658333). Used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the mountainous area (using best judgement to determine, at: -22.371480, -44.669803), then doubled this distance (200%) to incorporate the added uncertainty of the word "near" in the locality description.
