moving water up to 1 ft. deep; inflorescences emersed;
disks white; locally abundant in spring-fed abandoned
channel of Nueces River, E of current channel, at foot
of steep silt cut-bank, ca. 1.0 airmiles S to SSE of US.
Rt. 90 bridge over Nueces River, ca. 1.0 airmiles NNE
of HQ of Allen Ranch (as marked on topo). Hacienda
Quadrangle. 29°11’35"N, 99°53’55"W. Elev. 865-870
ft.
Spring is called Soldier Spring by landowner, not marked on topo.
Associates include Nymphoides aquatica, Myriophyllum sp.,
Eleocharis interstincta, Potamogetón illinoensis, Justicia americana.
