In rocky (limestone) soil on NW-facing slope with Juniperus.
Gutierrezia, Astragalus & Orvzopsis. Caespitose perennials;
leaves strigose, to 3 mm wide; heads sessile or short pedunculate;
involucral bracts to 2.5 mm wide; ray pappus to 4 mm long; disc
pappus to 6 ram long; ligules of ray florets whitish above, pinkish
& glandular below; disc corollas to 5 mm long; pollen + uniform,
produced in tetrads; cypselae with glochidiate hairs.
