In clay soil (some quartzite rocks) on N-facing slope with Poa.
Artemisia & Ericameria. Perennial with caudex branches clothed
In old leaf bases; leaves punctate; scapes appressed-lanate with
trichomes to 7 mm; inner involucral bracts broadly oblanceolate,
the scarious margins wider than the herbaceous center; T||jules of
ray florets yellow; pappus of lanceolate, acuminate scales.
