Perennial with caudex branches clothed in old leaf bases; leaves punctate; scapes often densely lanate with trichomes to 7 mm; inner involucral bracts broadly oblanceolate, the scarious margins wider than the herbaceous center; ligules of ray florets yellow; pappus of obovate, acuminate scales. .D.
