herb 1.5 m, latex milky; stem leaves
spreading, sagittate, midrib white;
capitulescence columnar, branches
strongly ascending; corollas yellow;
cypselae long-rostrate, compressed but
exalate, thin-margined, body black, each
face ca. 7-striate, rostrum white,
filiform, longer than cypsela body.
