Ochnaceae, Dimorphandra, Bonnetia dominant trees; Xyridaceae, Eriocaulaceae, Melastomataceae in understory. Erect herb. Basal rosette green with purple venation. Inflorescence scapose, subtended by whorl of leaves (like basal rosette). Individual inflorescence on 15cm pedicel. Involucre brown. Flowers cream. Silica sample. K.J.
