The New York Botanical Garden a Plants of CANADA Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal var. quaslperennls Lune11 Saskatchewan: along Trans-Canada hwy 1, ca. 34 miles E of Derringer-May Picnic area on TC -1, this between Moose Jaw and Swift Current, 43.0 mi E of jet TC-1 & Sask. hwy 19N near Chaplin. Plants growing along gravelly hwy shoulder in recently mowed area. Scattered individuals. 0.3-1.0 ft. tall. Most with a single stem from the base. Seedlings common. Apparently perennial (but that may be due to the small size of plants). None in flower, only in bud. Growing with usual assemblage of roadside weeds. Elev. 2100-2200 ft.
