Wet Meadow. (Dexter Cyn. quad: 37° 49.843'N, 118° 46.681'W;
T1S R29E S28, SE/4 of NE/4). Alt.: 2470m/8100ft.
Deep narrow canyon running S-N, with perennial stream cutting
through Bishop tuff rhyolite. Steep 30° NE-facing slope of soft
pumice alluvium and rhyolite outcrops above. Open Pinus
jejfryi woodland with occasional P. monophylla, Holodiscus
microphylla, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Chrysothamnus nauseosus,
Chaenactis douglassii.
Uncommon on open sandy slopes. Woody basal clumps to 4dm across. Flws
lavendar to pink.
