Moist forested valleys in the afternoon fogbelt.

Description
Plant single-stemmed, 2 m., branched above. Leaves dark green above; white pubescence below. Bracts pale green, tipped with nigrescent purple. Ray and disc flowers yellow. Anthers nigrescent. Styles yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
