exudate To stretch the hair or make it curly, the
exudate of this plant is used to make a hair rinse.
The bark is scratched to obtain the inner bark.
The inner bark is then wrapped and pounded by
a rock or stone to make it soft and sticky. The
substance produced is mixed with water and used
to wash one’s hair. This will make the hair curly.
unspecified part According to traditional belief,
this plant is used by garden magicians, knowns as
tupunus, in preparations to make rain.
