Description
Pileus 5-8 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, rarely with a low, broad obscure umbo, dry, radially fibrillose to matted fibrillose, yellow (4A7,6,5) with bits of orange streaks, with even margin. Flesh yellow (as in pileus surface), unchanging, with mild odor and slowly bitter taste. Lamellae adnexed, close, yellow (as in pileus), with concolorous fimbriate edges. Stipe 4.5-7 cm long, 1-1.5 cm broad, mostly equal to slightly broader below, dry, pale yellow (4A4) above, more yellow (as in pileus) below, heavily longitudinally fibrillose to matted tomentose, with whitish to pale yellow basal mycelium, with interior yellow 9as in pileus), pithy.
