    United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: Long Valley; wet saltgrass meadow road crossing appx. 3km northwest of Benton Crossing of Owens River. (Whitmore Hot Sprs. quad).

  • Habitat

    Actively grazed wet tributary to Owens River. Alkaline silty pumice soil with sandy low berms above. Still water densely thatched with Carex praegracilis, Juncus balticus, Triglochin concinna, Pyrrocoma racemosa. Crusty white alkaline areas above water with Distichlis spicata, Sarcobatus vermiculatus, intergrading into open Artemisia tridentata scrub with Chrysothamnus nauseosus, C. viscidiflorus, Leymus cinereus. Common, widely scattered in uplands around shrubs.
