Beardstown, south of Indian Creek, Hobrock farm;
Arenzville West 7.5’ quadrangle. Elevation
approximately 435 feet. Coordinate Datum:
WGS84/NAD83. Wet humus-rich sand.
Margin of drying sand pond also cropped for soybeans,
with Eleocharis engelmannii, Ammannia, Lindemia,
Gratiola, Cyperus. Former Isoetes and Illinois chorus
frog location, partly drained. Locally common robust
cespitose annual sedge.
