Unable to find the precise location of "Compania de Plantaçôes;" instead, georeferenced to 12 km along Estrada do Aleixo in the city of Manaus, Amazonas, in accordance with other locality descriptions. From various locality descriptions, inferred that Estrada do Aleixo had once consisted of a longer span of roadway than it appears to presently. What was once considered Estrada do Aleixo has been divided into three roads; Avenida André Araújo, Alameda Cosme Ferreira, and Estr. do Aleixo. For the purposes of this georeference, considered this entire span of roadway to be Estrada do Aleixo. Used the Google Maps - Earth View to locate Estrada do Aleixo, the route which leads from the approximate geographic center of the city of Manaus to the neighborhood of Colônia Antônio Aleixo. Starting at the beginning of this route (beginning of Ave. André Araújo, where this road branches from Av. Humberto Calderaro), used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure approximately 12 km (12.00 km) along the road toward the neighborhood of Colônia Antônio Aleixo; used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the offset along the road (coordinates located on present-day Estrada do Aleixo). Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent of the starting location, the beginning of Av. André Araújo, by measuring from the approximate geographic center of the intersection of Av. André Araújo and Av. Humberto Calderaro to the farthest extent that may be considered the beginning of road Av. André Araújo. Input coordinates, linear extent (0.36269 km), measurement error (.005 km), and distance precision (1 km) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
