Ranunculus muricatus L.
Common in margins of Cottonwood Creek 2,8 miles north
of the junction of roads 206 and 1^5 (road from Friant
to North Fork), Population extends for several miles
along Creek. Sepals reflexed and petals yellow. Most
plants growing with lower portions submerged but some
on higher ground. Soil primarily decomposed granite.
Elevation about 600 feet. Associated with Ranunculus
aquatilis t Mimulus gutattus, Carex sp., Juncus sp.
