BLAINE CO: On dry open slopes, just
above and east of Galena Summit, along
Highway 93 between Ketchum and Sawtooth
Valley. Soil derived from a brown dis-
integrating volcanic rock (?). With a
few scattered lodgepole pine and sub-
alpine fir. 87OO ft. Fruits inflated
(follicle) and turning red.
