Liebre Mountains, Angeles National Forest, lower Ruby Canyon, along Ruby Canyon Road ca 0.85 mi east of the jtn with Lake Hughes Road, upstream from the confluence of Ruby Canyon and Elizabeth Lake Canyon at the northwestern base of Red Mountain. Near 34°35.953’N, 118°32.770’W. Elev.2000ft. Mesic north-facing slope at point where road crosses stream. Common local associates include Quercus agrifolia, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Fraxinus dipetala, Rubus ursinus, and Rosa califomica. Perennial herb, flowers white or with a very faint pink blush.
